For 20 years, as a practicing design architect delivering some of the most ambitious and highly rated green buildings and masterplans across North America, Europe and Asia, I was convinced that I was part of the solution on Climate Change.
But when I realized my efforts, along with rest of the industry, failed to move the needle in reducing our sector’s 40% global carbon emissions, I knew I had to chart a different course.

Antonio Ng

Antonio is a future strategist and innovation leader with over 25 years of professional practice experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction sector.
Prior to founding Formwork IO, Antonio was the executive director of innovation at AECOM, leading the ideation and development of new digital products based on artificial intelligence, immersive technologies and generative design. Under his leadership, he also spearheaded AECOM APAC's Immersive Lab, 3D construction printing program, and cultivated a holistic approach in nurturing corporate innovation. Previous to AECOM, Antonio led interdisciplinary design teams in delivering award-winning sustainable projects in Europe, Asia, and the United States. He served as the East Asia Architecture Leader at Arup Group, Design Architect at Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Genoa Italy and Robert A.M. Stern Architects in New York United States. This diverse range of global work culture experiences are the foundations of his beliefs towards decarbonization of the building and construction industry. |
